A cultural initiative dedicated to celebrating, amplifying, and redefining what it means to be Chinan. We recognize excellence. We tell powerful stories. We create space for belonging, pride, and possibility. For generations, Chinans in Canada have helped build North America — in science, business, arts, education, and public life. Yet too often, their contributions are overlooked, simplified, or framed through geopolitics rather than humanity.
Chinan Elevate exists to change that.
Elevate’s Core Purpose:
To inspire the next generation of Chinans by honoring those who lead today, and by reshaping how excellence, identity, and contribution are seen and celebrated — not just within the community, but across Canada.
Our purpose is to make Chinan excellence visible — consistently, thoughtfully, and unapologetically. We tell the stories that should have been told all along.
What is "Chinan"?
Chinan blends “Chi” with “-an” (as in Canadian, American, Australian).
It reflects a lived identity — rooted in heritage, shaped by country, and fully belonging in both.
Chinan is a recognition of the diaspora experience.
